Verizon customer? They may owe you some money.

Tax day isn't the only thing that falls on April 15 this year. It's also the deadline for Verizon wireless customers to file a claim to be part of a class action lawsuit.  At issue are so called "junk fees," administrative fees that Verizon says were necessary to recoup compliance and network costs.

If you were a Verizon (postpaid not prepaid) customer at any point between January 1, 2016 and November 8, 2023 you're eligible to receive at least $15 and possibly up to $100, depending on how long you were a Verizon customer and ultimately how many Verizon customers will be claiming a share of the proposed $100 million settlement.

Find out more and file your claim here.

You also may not be aware that Verizon offers some customers loyalty discounts, up to $25 a month.  In your Verizon app, look under offers in Verizon Up, or the section in your Account "Make the most of your plans."  Or inquire with a Verizon rep; I didn't know I was eligible until a Verizon store employee offered me $25 monthly off my bill while we were reviewing my account.
